With the arrival of the Aion: Assault on Balaurea expansion, players will have the opportunity to have their own pet. Currently, there are five types of pets available and their 'skills' range from warning players about approaching danger or expanding a player's inventory. The free Aion expansion, Assault on Balaurea, will be arriving on the public test server on August 18th. The PTS has been taken down and all characters and guilds have been wiped in preparation for AoB. The expansion is set to officially launch on September 7th but PTS players will get a firsthand look at the game beginning the 18th when the PTS is fired up again. Finally, Aion introduces you to a dizzying "PvPvE" situation: Player vs. Player vs. Environment. You'll find yourself facing up against other player-controlled characters, while simultaneously fighting off NPC demons, and random AI monsters who will wander into the area.

The PTS will reopen its majestic gates on August 18th 2010, with the new expansion ready for some testing action. Aion: Assault on Balaruea will be available across all servers September 7th 2010.
